Sensual Bachata and Salsa in Amsterdam
Sensual Bachata and Salsa in Amsterdam
Bachata originated in the Dominican Republic around the 1960´s. Famous for its love stories and its syncopated rhythm, this genre is an evolution of Merengue and Bolero.
After many years being considered a low art form, Bachata took the world by storm and became a very popular and viral dance. Within the three different Bachata styles; Dominican Bachata, Bachata traditional and Bachata Sensual, the last one is by far the most popular style in the Netherlands.
Salsa’s origins take us mainly to Cuba, and it’s a type of dance that contains many different rhythms, such as Rumba, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha and son.
