A focused introduction to the core principles behind Claudio Dio’s approach to movement and musicality.
Dancers will reconnect with the foundations of the DioStyle approach: body awareness, grounding, musical intention, and the relationship with the music and the space.
The goal is for them to feel more present, more grounded and clearer in their choices.

💃 4h Bachata Musicality & Creativity Intensive
A concept-driven intensive focused on developing more possibilities within your movement, making more personal musical choices and learning how to continue developing your dancing after the workshop.
🎭 Movement — Body as an Instrument
Dancers will learn how to use their body like an instrument.
A movement is not only a shape; it can be played in many different ways depending on texture, timing, energy and intention.
The goal is for them to discover more possibilities inside the movements they already know.
🎶 Music — From Listening to Movement
Dancers will explore musicality as a conversation between the music and the body.
They will work on rhythm, accents, pauses, texture, energy and musical phrases.
The goal is for them to make more personal musical choices and feel more connected to the song.
🧠 Training Plan
To finish, dancers will learn how to keep growing after the workshop: how to choose vocabulary, build drills, apply the tools in freestyle and develop their own movement over time.
This is an intensive, concept-driven training for intermediate and experienced dancers who want to go beyond simply learning more steps and develop more conscious, creative and personal choices in their dancing.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to attend the 1h Foundations before the 4h Intensive?
No. The Foundations session is optional, but it is a great way to understand the core principles behind Claudio’s approach before going deeper into the intensive, or recap them if you already took the previous bootcamp in March.
Can I join if I didn’t attend Claudio’s previous training?
Absolutely. The event is designed for both returning and new dancers. The 1h DioStyle Foundations session is especially useful if this is your first time training with Claudio, since he will do a shorter version of the 4 hours foundations he did last time in March during his visit.
What level is required?
The 4h Musicality & Creativity Intensive is designed to teach you to find your own way of moving, so it is aimed and adapted to give different levels of challenges for all levels, specially at intermediate and experienced bachata dancers who are confortable with their basic step to build over it them independently in their dancing.
Do I need a partner?
No partner is required to register. The training is based on solo dance, and designed so dancers can work through the concepts during the session.
Is the party included with the training?
Yes. The Social Party and 1 drink are included with both the 4h Musicality & Creativity Intensive and the Full Training Experience.
Can I come only to the party?
Yes. Party-only tickets are available for €15 and include 1 drink. You do not need to attend the training to join the evening social.
What is included in the Full Experience?
The Full Experience includes the 1h Bachata DioStyle Foundations, the 4h Musicality & Creativity Intensive, the Social Party and 1 drink. The full package costs €110.
What should I bring?
Comfortable dancewear, clean indoor dance shoes, water, and something to take notes with if you like. There is a longer break between the morning and afternoon training blocks, so you may also want to bring or arrange lunch.
